Knitwear – an absolute must this winter

Winter is my absolute favourite season for fashion.  The leather boots, fitted coats and cute matching accessories like hats and gloves.  But my most revered item of the cold, damp and blustery season is the knit!

No matter your size, age or budget, you can always find the perfect knitwear item; whether it’s knits on a budget, the outrageous Christmas jumper (making a comeback) or oversized knitwear for around the house.

So let’s take a look at some of this season’s knits.

Knits on a budget – high street knits

Check out this cable-knit jumper from H&M – perfect for a winter walk or catch up with friends at the local pub. Only £14.99 and available in White, Mole, Green and Coral.

This royal blue, long sleeve sweater is a beautiful piece of knitwear, perfect for all occasions.

The dipped side hem flatters your hips and minimises your waist, helping to show off your feminine

popular with the high street/online retailer.

I know I’m breaking the women’s only fashion rule, my own rule, but I love buying a man’s knitted jumper as they have cooler patterns and if you buy an over-sized jumper they are perfect for lounging around the house in or even when you have the girls round for a catch up! But as this is a women’s only fashion blog, I’ll quickly move on to the last category…extreme knits!

Extreme knits

Well, whether you’re a fan of colour, high necks, long sleeves and wool or not this fantastic dress by Joe Browns  is a must have.

The bold pattern and elaborate use of colours is sure to get you noticed whilst you’re out and about; at the pub, shopping

with friends or simply chilling with the girls.  Although I think it would be a crime against this knit to hide away in doors!
