Kate Middleton, Fearne Cotton and Kim Kardashian are all new Mums, but who dressed their bump like a (future) King and who was left North West of the fashion line?
I’ve been meaning to write this post for a few months now – what with all the celebrity pregnancies, but alas I got sidetracked. However, now that the Royal Prince has been born I think it’s time we took a look at the best dressed bumps and, the erm, not so best (in fact pretty shocking considering most of these women have or can afford some serious Rachel Zoe styling)!
So, first things first, the Duchess of Cambridge. Always looking demure and famously shopping on the high street, Kate Middleton made her pregnancy look easy (in terms of fashion). From midi dresses and jacquard fabrics to sleek hair and that broad smile, Kate has never put a foot wrong!
Another Mum who dressed to impress whilst pregnant was Fearne Cotton. Fearne avoided what a lot of Mums-to-be tend to do and instead of going for the maternity rack, she cleverly opted to buy her clothes in the next size up. Always working, she attended premiers wearing her own line by Very.co.uk and looked fabulous whilst doing so.
Now for the not so good and there can only be one real winner (although I’m sure she won’t feel like one)…it has to be Kim Kardashian. Now I’m not one for following celeb gossip columns minute after minute, but my God it was hard not to wasn’t it? From pencil skirts to bodycon, ankle straps to PVC, there wasn’t a trend Kim didn’t try and also not one that seemed to work!
Although I could go to town on Kim K’s monstrosities she called outfits, I did think at this film premier she looked immaculate from head to toe, but why didn’t she carry on this look?
I hope if there’s another Kim and Kanye babe that she’ll learn from her mistakes…and maybe call it South?
