The Shoe Edit: AW14

One of my favourite hues of AW13 was oxblood red and I’m head over heels that it’s back for the new season not to mention the new dark, emerald greens!

With this is mind there are so many styles ready for your Autumn Winter wardrobe that I just can’t wait to try.

First up it’s borrowed from the boys brogue-style pieces from Clarks and Miss KG. In a range of colours and perforated patterns, these lace up lovelies are perfect for the office, off duty weekends and complement androgynous to hipster styles.

Every girl needs a decent pair of flats (or three) she can just slip into at a moments notice. I love my slipper shoes for days when I know I’ll be up and down all day. The River Island colour block pair meet your day-to-night needs flawlessly, while the other pairs by Shoe Box at Very.co.uk keep you comfy and stylish at the office and running errands come the weekend.

My favourite shoedrobe piece has to be workwear…smart and sophisticated and perfect no matter what time of the week it is (even better if they work for you post 5 too)!

Oxblood red Mary Janes will look great with a classic midi dress, while heeled brogues create a powerful look with a hint of femininity.

OK and finally no winter would be complete without a pair of leather knee high boots. Every couple of years I invest in a pair of flat leather knee high riding boots to keep me covered on cold, wet days.

As you can probably tell I’m a fan of tan leather, but Dune’s mix of Black and Tan boots is perfectly versatile for this time of year and exposed zips are a must to add a little edgy attitude to your AW styles.
