Latest Buy: Radley Bag

I’ve been lusting after this cross body for the best part of a year now. The Radley Bloomsbury handbag is a structured, beautifully crafted piece that comes in a uniquely round shape and, through the last 12 months, has been produced in SS15 yellows and turquoise a as well as classic black and navy.

As part of their end of season sale I decided to finally give in and spoil myself with a real treat.

In a rich navy hue and crafted from beautifully durable leather it’s the first Radley handbag I’ve ever owned, straying from my usual Fiorelli pieces.

And to be honest I’m hoping it’ll be the first of many over the years. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll probably never treat myself to micro trends that are in and out in the blink of an eye, but I’ll certainly look to them for the more classic silhouettes – the timeless pieces if you like.

Incredibly structured, it’s not your usual everyday piece that you carry everything but the kitchen sink around in, but certainly for dinner dates and shopping trips. I love the grosgrain lining and slip pockets too!

Now the only problem I’m come across is the purse issue. I can easily carry my phone, keys, hand cream etc but my spotty Cath Kidston purse is just too bulky – creating a lump in the bag which, I imagine if I left, would stretch the leather for good.

So, cue a cute coin purse from Accessorize with my faves – all over owl print! This is perfect for change and my cards can be kept safe in the zip pocket! But my favourite thing about this bag…

Radley of course! He’s so cut and just sits subtly at the side. Perfect!

Radley have replaced their Bloomsbury with the Portman for AW15 which features a two tone colour palette.
