ahhhhh it’s been so long since I last posted and I have no excuse! Since I got back from Sweden I’ve made a few exciting new purchases I want to share with you, have been back and forth to the gym lifting kettle bells and doing countless squats and I’ve also taken part in my little niece Milly Moo’s christening!
But to kick things off I thought I’d do a post on one of my latest nail varnishes (of course my first post back had to be about nail polish)!!!
An impromptu shopping trip last Saturday with Maud (silly name for my Mum that seems to have stuck with her), she very generously treated me to a Nails Inc mani at Harvey Nics and as a result I bought some of their new neon colours…I say some, I bought all three of them haha, but I also got an offer on the Victoria Beckham polishes that came out last year.
First off, I love the box and second…the actual nail polish bottles, but which one to choose first? The Bamboo White or Judo Red? Well after my neon yellow mani (promise I’ll post pictures soon) I decided to go for something a little more low key and, shall we say, mature.
At first when I applied a first coat to my thumb I thought “oh, I’m going to need two coats of this” but I was a little too cautious with it and realised that a good healthy amount of polish on the brush was no bad thing. The brush itself spreads so easily so you can literally just watch as it covers your entire nail for a super smooth and easy application. It even went on incredibly glossy so I didn’t use a top coat!
One thing to watch out for is the drying time. They were tacky for quite a while and, if you’re like me and can’t sit still for longer than a nano second, then you’ll run the risk of smudging them…I did have to top up one of my fingers as a result!
However, I absolutely love the colour – slightly off white with a glossy finish…luxurious! I can’t wait to try Judo Red now!
